House shows are a wonderful way to gather people together in a unique and intimate setting. Katie will play in your living room, basement, backyard, or any cozy space you have available that is begging to be filled with music! Typically guests mingle for 45 minutes to an hour before the show starts, and then Katie plays for about an hour and a half (with a break to give guests a chance to mingle and do important things like replenish their snack plates!). House shows are magical because they give space for music and bring the focus back to the human connection. In addition to playing her songs, Katie will share inspirational and personal stories about how her songs came to life. By the end of the show, you might feel like you have a new best friend!
A group of about 20-50 people who are ready for an intimate and special evening of music
Snacks and light drinks (the host can provide snacks or do it potluck style / byob!)
An open space for the performance to take place (seating can be floor cushions, couches, lawn chars, whatever!)
That's it! Pretty simple!
That's awesome! Email katiedobbinsmusic@gmail.com to discuss details, rates and to set up a time! If this house show is a good fit for both of us (and our schedules), you will be provided with more information & tips about how to make this a very successful and enjoyable show!!
Please note that house concerts offered outside of New England may have extra travel expense included in the budget.
"I enjoyed the intimacy of the atmosphere where the direct focus is on the music. I found a good amount of venues I go to for local artists are multi-purpose with music being more of an additional piece to provide more background ambiance. For living room shows, the concert goers are focused on one thing: the music."

"The welcoming environment that Katie creates is the perfect atmosphere for both performers and audience members alike. Her attention to the smallest details enhances the experience for everyone who comes, and we recommend it to everyone we know!"
